Skills and Level exams assist pupils to develop technique and performances of Calisthenic movements and techniques. Approximately eight (8) preparation lessons are a pre-requisite for sitting the exams and approximately ten (10) lessons are a pre-requisite for completing other levels.
Test 1, 2 & 3
These Tests are designed for younger calisthenic pupils to introduce them to the examination process and encourage proper technique from an early age. Participants in Test 1, 2 and 3 must receive a Pass or higher to achieve that level.
Standard Grade Program
A Standard Grade Program is available for those who are not focusing on the elements of classical dance as part of their team curriculum. It also caters for those who are slightly restricted in natural flexibility by offering optional versions of several movements. Please note: Standard Grades do not qualify for solo entry, Cadet coaching or Level 1 requirements. Standard Grades 1, 2, 3 & 4 require a 60% overall pass rate to be awarded their certificate.
Grade 1, 2, 3 & 4
As pupils grow and develop the Skills Program progresses to these four grades. They introduce a move comprehensive vocabulary of terminology, co-ordination, artistry and musicality. Grades 1, 2, 3 & 4, build on earlier studies and allow pupils to enhance their skills at a pace that they are comfortable with. Participants in Grade 1, 2, 3 & 4 require 60% in each section to receive a certificate and cloth badge.
Medals (Bronze, Silver & Gold)
The Medal Examinations are for mature calisthenic pupils. The exercises draw on technique from earlier examinations and further extends performance skills, quality of movement, musicality, a sense of floor pattern and space. Medals include advanced movements which must be mastered to a high standard. Pupils include self-choreographed routines which showcase their own artistic style and allows them to be more creative. Must achieve a satisfactory plus for each individual movement and 60% plus for each section to earn a medal and certificate.
